The Data Science Without Borders (DSWB) consortium, in partnership with Douala General Hospital (DGH), hosted the month-long CODE2CARE Hackathon 2025, bringing together 140 young innovators and data science professionals to tackle three critical digital health challenges: patient feedback and reminder systems, AI-powered diagnostic and education tools, and blood bank stock monitoring and forecasting.

Over three weeks of virtual collaboration followed by a two-day onsite engagement, 31 selected teams developed practical, deployable AI-driven solutions with support from expert mentors and judges. The final pitches showcased scalable innovations, with top teams awarded 1,900,000 FCFA in prizes and continued mentorship opportunities to advance sustainable digital health transformation in Cameroon.
